Vanessa's Medical Fund

On April 25, 2014, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  On August 13th, 2014, I am having a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction.  I am a massage therapist, yoga teacher and personal trainer.  Having very physical careers will make recovering and returning to work more complicated.  This fund is to help cover my medical and living expenses while I am recovering.  Breast reconstruction is a lengthy, multi-step process.  It could easily be 2-3 months of recovery time provided there are no complications.   The tissue expanders will be placed underneath the pec muscles which will inhibit my ability to work as the pecs need to be at full rest to heal.  I am hoping there is no invasive cancer hiding in the breast tissue and that it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes, neither of which I will know until surgery.  Any donation is so greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much!!!
