Carlos Ledesma is in a struggle for his life and health with his fiance, Tracy Rusten, by his side.
Carlos’ story: In 2007, Carlos underwent a lung transplant at the University of Chicago. With good health and happiness, he asked Tracy Rusten to be his bride in October 2013. Looking forward to their wedding in April of 2015, they began to plan their new life together.
Carlos began to have trouble with his health as his body began to reject his lung around Easter of 2013. This began a round of hospitalizations at Providence Medical Center of Everett.
Since May 2013, Carlos has been confined to a ventilator. His journey began at Providence Medical Center and continued on to Kindred Rehab Hospital in Northgate.
The next step in this journey is to return to the University of Chicago where the first transplant took place. This is for re-evaluation for eligibility for placement on the list for a 2nd transplant which cannot be done in Washington State. Due to Carlos’ current health status, this will require medical transportation.
The expenses are mounting for living, travel and medical bills. Tracy and Carlos plan to share a long, happy and healthy life together.
