Our dear friend and colleague, Rich Curran, died of a heart attack on Oct. 6, 2018, leaving behind his dear son, Chase, 10.
Rich was a one-of-a-kind talent and soul for George Matick Chevrolet. He acted with a servant’s heart to help others, whether customers, teammates, friends or strangers. As the “Go-to-Guy” for all things automotive for us and his hundreds of customers, he truly was the face of George Matick Chevrolet to so many people for more than a quarter century. He is irreplaceable.
Anyone who knew Rich knew how much his son, Chase, meant to him. Chase was everything to Rich.
Various persons and organizations have expressed an interest in making contributions to Chase, to help defray the financial burden caused by Rich’s passing. In response, George Matick Chevrolet has created an irrevocable trust — the “Richard & Chase Curran Trust Fund.”
We want to help support Chase, who has special needs, and the care that he will need. Your support will help provide a lifetime of care for Chase. This trust is a legally formed, independent fund administered by a board of trustees consisting of three persons, including our Controller Jodi Dean. The trustees will manage contributions to the trust fund and make them available for the needs (i.e., health care, education, etc.) of Chase during his lifetime.
In the event of Chase’s death, any funds remaining in the trust will be distributed for charitable purposes.
Consider donating in Rich’s memory to the Richard & Chase Curran Trust Fund to help support Chase's needs for health care, education and the daily expenses arising from his care.
Please note that contributions to the trust fund are not tax deductible since Chase is the sole beneficiary of the trust during his lifetime.
