Mya's Trip to Nationals

I have been riding horses for as long as I can remember. About four years ago I got the gift of a lifetime from my mom. His name is Vinnie, a giant, furry horse that loves people (especially my grandpa) like they’re his own kind. My mom is a horse trainer, which isn't the highest paying job, so a horse for me wasn't a part of the budget. When she gave me Vinnie, she gave me an opportunity that has surpassed my wildest dreams. With the help of her and many others, I have officially triple qualified to compete in the national championships. These competitions bring together the top riders of the United States and test them on different skills to pick the national champions of 3 separate finals, the Good Hands Finals, Challenge Cup Finals, and the USEF Medal Finals. I have been extremely lucky to qualify for all three. 

            The support of my mom has given me this amazing opportunity to represent myself, her and Minnesota at the national finals this year. She has always done anything she could to make my riding career go as far as I wanted it to, no matter how much she had to sacrifice to make it happen for my riding career.  Words cannot describe what this opportunity means to me. No matter what I will hold her dedication and support dearest to my heart. 

            That’s why I’m here to ask for your help. With travel, competition and supplies costs, these national finals are going to be expensive. I know my mom would break her back to get me there, but I want to make this a little easier on her to thank her. This is how I'm trying to show my mom and those whom have helped me get here how truly thankful I am.  I have created this GoFundMe to help with the burden of going to these competitions. No words describe what it would mean to me to make this easier on her and represent her and the strong woman she has raised me to be in the national championships.
