In 2010, Jason had an ERCP done in Jackson, Tennessee. It snowballed out of control from there. This caused Jason's pancreas to act up and casued Severe Necrotising Pancreatitus. He developed pancreatic pseudocysts. On August 23 he was sent to Vanderbuilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. There he was put on life support to help him breath. He became so septic that his heart stopped on two different occasions.  On September 14th, 2010 he had major surgery to repair the pancreas and remove the dead tissue and remove part of his  small bowel. This resulted in him having a temporary illeostomy. The doctors told us that he only had a 10% chance of making it through surgery. Well, he did and continued to get better everyday. He spent nearly six (6) months in and out of the Surgical ICU at Vanderbilt. He was then sent to Rehabilitation where they taught him to feed himself again, and walk again and dress himself again, and talk again with out his tracheostomy in. After several months he came home to home health services and with his walker and PT and OT he slowly regained his strength.  He got down to 118 pounds. In 2011 he had his next surgery to take down the illeostomy and reconnect his small intestines back together. Jason was very eager to have this done and feel normal again. In 2013, Jason had to have a bowel resection becasue the scar tissue was strangling his bowel. This was a minor setback and complication that was unespected.  In late 2013 and early 2014 Jason had developed a fistula  (passage way)which communicated from the bowel to the skin!!  All less invasive procedures failed to help!!  So on August 25th 2014 Jason was going to have yet again another bowel surgey to place the illeostomy bag back on him permenately and to close off the fistula from the inside.Hopefully this will be the last surgery!!  This occured in September, 2014. He continues to recover each and every day.

Recently he has spent time in the Surgical ICU with a pancreas flare up and had kidney stones busted up. This is all the continued down fall from the massive surgery in 2010.

All funding will go to help Jason and I  travel back and forth from Nashville for follow up appointments, and any other medical expenses incurred.  I continue to only work part time to make sure that Jason always has me there to be with him an dsupport him through all his medical ups and downs. With me only working part time this support is greatly helpful! Thank you all for your love and financial support!
