My heart is very heavy right now. Throughout these difficult times I have mustered up more strength than I knew I had. I keep trying to remain strong, but we just received news that my husband will no longer be covered by any insurance. The reason? He is not considered medically sick enough. He cannot eat. He cannot walk. He struggles just to speak. I don't understand how insurance companies can be so cruel. As of December 29th none of his hospital expenses have been covered. Not from his primary insurance or secondary. And because we have this insurance, despite them no longer paying for ANYTHING, we don't qualify for any programs available to help us. No federal help. No state help. And when his social security comes almost all of it will be taken because of his hospitalization. I don't understand this. He can't leave the hospital! How can he be considered not medically sick enough to be covered by insurance? We have had our lives as we knew it stripped from us and every ray of hope I thought I've had has been dimmed by this devastating blow. I would give ANYTHING to provide for my family, but I have nothing left to give. I know some people have painted me as a dishonest person, but please know this is the only resource I have left. I have always prefered to be the one helping, but I have to relinquish every ounce of my pride because I love my husband.  I need to make changes to our home to accommodate for his needs. I need to care for him and my daughter. I can't do this alone. Please help me help Angel by either donating or sharing our story. I need all the help I can get.

My husband Angel has been in the hositpal since June 24th, 2017 it all started with a staph infection...which ended up causing him to have open heart surgery, the loss of both his feet, the loss of all his fingers on his left hand but one, all the tips of his fingers on his right hand and both his thumbs, and numerous other surgeries and medical complications, including kidney failure. He still has several more surgeries to go and we've been told he won't be home till some time next year...even then he'll have so much more recovery ahead of him, plus getting and learning how to use prosthetics. Yet throug it all he's stayed so positive and just put his faith in God. He refuses to let this get the best of him. We had another Gofundme page but we needed to update information and opening a new page was the easiest way to do that since we weren't the ones who actually set up the original page. We appreciate everyone's help and generosity and couldn't have gotten through the last 6 months without all your help and prayers, and we continue to need your love, support, and prayers!!
