CT Musicians Assistance Fund

Hi my name is John McCarthy I am a musician from Connecticut where I have lived and performed as a professional musician since I was 7 years old. I also own Rock House School of Music with two locations where over 20 of the top musicians in the state teach.

The Covid-19 pandemic has effected almost every musician in the state (and country) all gigs shut down, no gigs no income at all.  Most musicians are not rich, no 401-k and live week to week counting on the money they make performing to survive.  There is no unemployment benefits to fall back on and many have children to care for, rent and bills that are not stopping. This is real and although I know that many other people are out of work the musicians need help quickly, many just to survive a few weeks. These musicians provide entertainment for us every week and bring so much joy to our lives it time we give back to them.

Music has been great to me my entire life and I want to help give back to musicians in need and this is why I started this Go Fund Me. Rock House School of Music will be hosting this fund and will give all proceeds directly to the musicians in need that meet the criteria outlined.  I hope you can help us.
