Help Me Not Be Homeless

Dear everyone,

This is really strange for me because I don't know about you but I never thought I would be making one of these GoFundMe's. The reality is, I need help, and as my friends have pointed out to me, it's okay to ask for help when you need it.

As some of you may know, I'm disabled and neurodivergent, and that's been stopping me from working most jobs outside of my home. I applied for disability, here in France. I also started plans to create my own business, as I've worked freelance as a developmental and line editor and a sensitivity reader in the publishing industry. I also build computers for people, remotely and locally, which is pretty cool 'cause I like to make stuff.

In the interim, I've been living with my mum. It was all going to be fine, I was going to get disability as my guaranteed income, find a lease, move out to a nice city, and be a fresh entrepreneur!

That's where my story takes a turn.

You see, the pandemic happened, and that's caused exponential delays at the disability center. The application process is now delayed 15 months. That's put a stop to my plans, and my mum, who's lovely, also disabled, and struggling financially, is moving into a much smaller home that's more adapted to her needs in April. That's in 2 weeks.

I need a place to live, work, build a business, and be safe. In this economy that is not a small feat.

Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in my region is 500€ a month + 150€ of amenities.

I need 6 months of rent + amenities upfront, 1-month rent broker fee, and I could also use some cash to actually move, and buy basic items of furniture like a bed.

All together my goal is 5000€ and I need that in the next 4 weeks.

I know it's been a really bad time for everyone—we are all struggling financially and with mental health—so I would be incredibly grateful if you had anything to spare to donate to my campaign.

And if you can't help me with money, it would be amazing if you could share my campaign with your friends on your social media platforms.

I am most active on Twitter, and I also stream on Twitch where I will be organizing a big birthday stream on April 3rd from noon to midnight CET or 6 AM EST to  6 PM EST if you want to come meet me and hang out.
