tornado victims

.Friday evening, my daughter Amber, my grandaughter Kaycee and her family got caught in a tornado. My daughter almost lost her life, and my granddaughter and her family lost their home. Below is the story that Kaycee wrote describing what happened..........

I can't even begin to put today into words. Running with your baby in your arms, slipping in mud, feeling in your gut that a tornado was at your back. Reaching the cellar and looking back to see your mother didn't make it. Thinking you sacrificed her for your children. Seeing her lie there bloody thinking she wouldn't make it. Hearing her tell you how much she loved you and your sister. Seeing your husband cry. Your mom telling you later that she saw us make it in and sat down to hold the fence because we were all that mattered and we were safe and she knew she couldn't make it in time. Looking around at the disaster around you knowing your fences are down, your roof is destroyed, your house is covered in water and you can't lie your head in your own bed because it's soaked. Watching your 12 yr old son break down, your 3 yr old cry because everything looks so wrecked and all her outdoor toys are missing and your one year old scream because he picks up on the distress of everyone else. Your horse trailer is upside down, your privacy fence is gone and you know you should be grateful everyone is alive but everything you've worked for is destroyed. Tonight was devastating. Pray for my mom. She has a hard long recovery in front of her, not counting the financial strain of her not working for the next 6 months.

Amber had her first surgery yesterday, where they had to put in an artificial bone because her leg was shredded and we are now waiting to see about the surgery on her back which she broke in 3 spots. They need help, so whatever you can give will be so appreciated.
