A large amount of people have requested that a Go Fund Me account be set up for Crystal. With her families blessing here it is :)

Crystal and her 3 kids went to North Carolina a few days after Christmas to spend time with family. A few days after being there, Crystal became very ill.

On January 5th, she went to the ER and at that time the doctor diagnosed her with the flu. The next day she knew there was something else going on other than the flu. At that time the doctor did an Xray and discovered that she had double pneumonia. She was sent home with an antibodic. She continued to get worse over the next 5 days. She went back to the ER on the 11th. At this time she was extremely sick. After running tests it was determined that there was fluid around her lungs. And she was admitted into the hospital. The doctors attempted to drain the fluid but wasn't successful. At that time, the doctors decided transferring her to Duke University Hospital was the best option. But she had to wait until a bed was available. The next day the doctors decided not to wait for Duke but instead to transfer her by ambulance to Wake Med in Raleigh, North Carolina.

She had a chest tube put in to drain the infected fluid. A few days later the doctor determined that there was some infected clots that wasn't draining properly. During this time Crystal experienced a lot of pain due to the chest tube and infection. Starting on Monday the 15th the doctor was going to do treatments of clot busting meds through her chest tube. She received 2 treatments a day for 3 days. The treatments were very painful but worked.

But there a was new pocket of fluid that was found. Crystal's white blood cell count and heart rate is still elavated.

She was hoping to be released from the hospital on Friday the 20th but instead that has drastically changed. She will be having surgery on the 20th and will be put in ICU.
Surgery will entail cleaning out the infected area and any surrounding infected areas. A new chest tube will be put into place and remain in for at least several days. It is unknown at this time how long she will need to remain in North Carolina. She is missing her childern terribly!!!

Crystal is self employed. She has a cleaning business and she is truly the best cleaner!! Her clients love her and the job that she does. But with that being said she has been out of work for over 3 weeks and at this time her recovery time isn't known.

Everyone that knows Crystal knows that she would be the first person to help anyone out!! She has a heart of gold!!!

PLEASE KEEP THE PRAYERS COMING!!!
