CRTranscript is expanding our operation, and we need YOUR help!
Our mission is to provide closed captioning for every episode of Geek & Sundry's show Critical Role (where a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors roll dice and play Dungeons & Dragons). Closed captioning makes the show accessible to a much wider audience including d/Deaf and hard of hearing folks, and people who speak English as a second, third, or fourth language!
Dedicated Critters have poured thousands of hours into transcribing Critical Role. (THANK YOU!!!) But we need to pick up the pace! There are over 230 hours of video left to be transcribed. That's where Rev.com (and your generous donations) come in!
Rev.com is an online transcription service that charges $1US/minute to caption video, including timestamps and a complete .srt file (what G&S uploads to YouTube). CRTranscript purchased the service for Episode 51, A Test of Pride, which is now successfully captioned. They even spelled Tal’Dorei right!
To be clear, we will STILL USE all of the work the Critters have done thusfar, so DON’T WORRY! But editing a complete .srt file takes a lot less time and we’ll be able to crank out completed captions MUCH faster.
All donations will go directly towards captioning services, and any remaining funds will be donated to the Critical Role cast’s preferred charities.
