I have battled an aggressive form of breast cancer and receiving on going treatment I am hoping to raise funds for a natural hair wig after losing my hair through chemotherapy.
I have worked as a health care assistant for the past ten years at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and love caring for others.
After my diagnosis in September 2018, one of the hardest things I found was suddenly being the one who needed the care.
I started off with breast cancer which then spread to my lymph nodes and liver.
I have since had a mastectomy, liver resection and lymph node treatment.
The NHS staff who have carried out my treatment in Redditch and Birmingham have all been amazing and without them I would not be here.
Likewise my colleagues, friends and family have all offered so much support.
I managed to return to work in September 2019 but have since had to put that on hold because of the risk of Coronavirus.
The other thing I have struggled with is losing my hair and a natural wig would make such a difference to my life.
I am grateful for any help people can give.
Thanks for reading this and stay safe.
