Critical medical care needed for Ashley Tozzi

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and any other kind soul who has taken the time to read this,

My family is kindly requesting your help. As some of you may know, our sister and daughter, Ashley, has been chronically ill and has been battling to preserve her health and quality of life. After visits to dozens of specialists who were unable to explain her systemic declines in health, Ashley was finally diagnosed with severe mold toxicity due to unknown chronic exposure to a water damaged apartment building. This long-term inhalation of toxins has resulted in a number of debilitating symptoms, to include severe brain inflammation, neuropathy, tremors, malnutrition and weight loss, dizziness and disorientation, severe pain, and difficulty walking and driving. Nearly all of her body’s functions and systems have been negatively impacted. Ashley’s quality of life has declined rapidly over the last several years and she now struggles to work or leave the house. On most days, she is bedridden. For those of you who know Ashley, you will understand how striking this is, as she is a vibrant, energetic, determined, passionate, and driven woman who can do anything she sets her mind to. And for those of you who know how wonderfully stubborn she is, you will also appreciate how difficult it was for her to allow us to ask for your help! However, she has been fighting for basic functionality each day and is now desperate to receive the treatment she needs.

This treatment is what brings us to you. Ashley has been participating in dozens of treatments over the last few years and has spent over $150k in medical costs. To date, these treatments have not been effective. As such, she is in need of intensive inpatient care at a specialized hospital that has the capacity to provide treatments aimed at effective, long-term recovery. This treatment would be provided at Sanoviv Medical Institute, which is the only specialized hospital of its kind. There, Ashley would be able to undergo interventions that target the underlying pathology as well as receive treatments that will help to re-stabilize her and restore her basic functionality. However, she is struggling to keep up with medical costs and is now in need of the community’s support to make it possible for her to go.

We are estimating that Ashley’s hospitalization will cost 25k and hope that she will be able to go by the end of January, as her condition is very poor and continuing to worsen. We humbly ask that you contribute any amount that you are willing to give and are eternally grateful for your willingness to help this WONDERFUL human being who does not deserve a life like this. We also kindly request that you share this fundraiser with your friends and family, as we believe we can make it possible for Ashley to receive the help she so desperately needs if we all work together. Though we are a very close family and fight as hard as we can for one another, we have hit a crossroads and now must turn to the broader community of people around us to make this happen.

We have created a specific fund dedicated to donations for Ashley's treatment and the funds will be used for only that. Britni and Tara are also happy to answer any questions you may have about the details of Ashley's condition and the specifics of her needs. We also kindly request that you refrain from contacting Ashley at this time, as she is in fragile health. I know she will be happy to speak with everyone again once she is well. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts and we wish you all a blessed and happy new year!

Sincerely,

Mark Tozzi, Britni Tozzi, Michael Tozzi, Tara Tozzi Michalik, and Paula Chess
