Critical Coronavirus Patient

On Monday March, 2nd my dad Ronald Pipkins, a veteran, went to the emergency room reporting difficulty breathing. On Tuesday March, 2nd the doctors thought he had pneumonia, but he developed a fever. A test was sent out that same day for the Coronavirus. Wednesday March, 4th he was presumptive positive for the Coronavirus. That same day he was struggling to breathe and they wanted to put him on a ventilator. He called me right before he was put on heavy sedation and a paralytic; he could barely speak because of the pain. It took 6 days for the CDC confirmation that he is positive with COVID-19. Over the past few weeks my dad has had a tracheotomy, a PEG feeding tube, and dialysis almost everyday. He doesn’t even know that he has the Coronavirus. He has a pre-existing condition and had been sick since Christmas. The doctors aren’t sure how the Coronavirus is affecting his system. Each critical case is unique.
When my dad recovers I want him to get the care he deserves. Please support my dad during this critical time.
