Dear Friends and Family,
Our dear Cristina is continuing her fight against the beast that is glioblastoma and doing it with beauty and grace. Each day brings new challenges, but she meets each one with strength and a force of will that I have no doubt you have all witnessed.
As some of you may know, glioblastoma is a vicious, tenacious, and unpredictable disease. As a result, Cristina was able to cash out a life insurance policy to help support her family while she fights for her life as well as hopefully make her children feel more secure at time when their world is tipped on its axis. The fight for Cristina’s health has made it necessary for PT to stop working indefinitely, as Cristina continues to have seizures and should not be left alone for very long. While the Sevins are well aware that they have much to be thankful for and resources that many in Cristina’s position might not, the nature of the illness means that much of her treatment and ways to keep her comfortable require huge medical insurance premiums, copays, and multiple unexpected monthly costs. While it is always awkward to ask for financial help, the unpredictable side effects, additional treatment and possible other surgeries, and many unknown associated costs cause Cristina concerns about the future for her entire family not just for herself. My hope is to help alleviate some of those worries.
Cristina and the Sevins are rich in friendship and family across the country, all of whom continue to support Cristina with their love. She can feel your prayers and hope every day.
