Hello everyone,

My dear friend and colleague, Cristina Enriquez, is 31 years old, and was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in December 2015. She underwent painful surgeries and chemotherapy, and the cancer went into remission. Unfortunately, on August 1, 2017, Cristina was given the awful news from her doctors that the cancer has returned, and has now metastasized into her lungs and throat. Her condition is terminal. This has been devastating for Cristina, her family, and friends.

In the next few weeks, she will begin another round of chemotherapy to attempt to prolong her life. Doctors have already told her that she will not be able to work during this time, and the likelihood that she will be able to return to work after her treatment is slim.

Cristina is one of the kindest, strongest people I have ever known. She is a devout mother, wife, and daughter. Throughout this ordeal, her commitment to her family (her husband Nick, her two children, and her father Jose), friends, public service, and breast cancer awareness and education has remained unwavering. Putting others before herself comes as second nature.

It’s time that we send some of that love and support back to Cristina. Raising her 16 and 7 year old sons has always been her priority, and she has not really had time for herself. Strong and independent, she has never asked for help. But she needs our help now more than ever. Because of her first battle with cancer, she has exhausted all her paid time off, and will not have enough hours to qualify for state disability insurance. Cristina and her husband will need help paying for everyday living expenses, such as rent, food, and incidentals. Our focus is to help her stay afloat and comfortable during this time. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support and generosity.

We love you, Cristina!

 Please help spread the word!

**All donations will go directly to Cristina and her family.
