Cristiano Jay "CJ" Rivera Team USA BMX Worlds

Hi, my name is Cristiano Jay "CJ" Rivera, aka "The Alaskan Pull." I am a 12 year old BMX racer from Houston, Texas. I love BMX racing. It's my favorite sport and really enjoy doing it with my friends as often as possible. I love it so much that we do many races at the local, state, regional and national level. I am currently ranking 1st in Texas and 3rd at the national level.

Last month I was able to qualify to Team USA along with my Houston area buddy Laudie "LJ" Harashe. We are very excited to have achieved this honor and now hope that we can make it to the World Championship race in Nantes France this July where we would love to podium for our country, family and friends.

I would like to ask you to help me get there. Anything would be greatly appreciated. You see, I made Team USA 3 years in a row now but unfortunately the Championship races were cancelled here in Houston back in 2020 and also in the Netherlands in 2021 due to COVID-19 precautions.

It looks like the race will happen this year and we are preparing for it as best as we can. We do a lot of training and racing to learn new skills and stay in great shape.

We hope to achieve great results at the World Championships race and also learn many things that will help us become better racers and perhaps ambassadors for the sport in our state. We hope to learn from this experience things that can also help others in our community learn what it takes to make this dream possible. We will share our experience and lessons learned and hopefully more kids from Houston can also make the team.

As you might imagine, going on this trip will be a bit more expensive than a typical trip to a USABMX national race even if its accross the country which is why we would like to ask for your help. Your contribution will be used to pay the cost of airfare, lodging and meals. It will also help with the cost of licenses, registration and uniforms.

In the event the race is cancelled, I get injured or anything similar keeps me from going, you can let me know if you would like your money back or if you would allow us to donate it to the Houston Racing Team which is the team my dad crated and manages with the mission to provide an enviroment where Houston area kids can enjoy the sport of BMX racing.
