Cristiana's dream of Equine Management School

Ever since I can remember Tiffany's riding school has held a special place in my heart. Providing me and many kids a like with plenty of magical experiences and learning curves along the way. From learning to ride, cleaning the stalls, tack and generally being a helping hand.
Tiffany's is all about family, kindness and helping each other. This brings me to tell you why we are asking for you to help us help others... specifically a special young lady Cristiana. For over 10 years now Tiffany's owners and sisters Tiffany and Deborah have offered their time, expertise and care to kids at the local childrens home in Lagos... and sometimes the perfect fit comes along and kids become a part of our family.
Providing education, a place outside of school and the childrens home to escape, an extended family... Tiffany's truly gives everyone of these children their all. This year Tiffany and Deborah decided they were willing to go above and beyond for our regular rider Cristiana.
Cristiana has been riding at Tiffany's for x years and has found a profound love in horses, the sport and the farm life as a whole. At a key stage in her education, finishing year 9, she was faced with the opportunity to go to Serpa professional school of rural development (http://www.epdrs.pt/site/) to attend a the Professional course of Equine Management (an amazing opportunity for any young horse lover/rider) starting september 2020. Throughout Cristiana's years riding at Tiffany's Tiffany has made a huge effort to ensure Cristiana have all equipment necesary available to her, and where possible the centre and/or its members pitching in to get her things like her own pair of boots etc. So when Cristiana was considering Serpa Tiffany's natural instinct was to reassure Cristiana that Tiffany's would support her in every which way... which means:
Providing her a horse to be in Serpa with her.
Livery fees for the horse living there.
Vetinary Fee's
Travel for the horse to go to the school and return home during holidays ( 3hrs each way when travelling with a trailer).
Federation fee's for Rider and Horse (Seperate).
Bridles / Saddles for schooling, dressage and Jumping...
Eventually Cristiana will need full competition wear (Jodphurs, jacket, shirt, tie).
There are probably many more bits and bobs along the way to be considered that I haven't thought of... I don't personally know the amounts of these costs but I'm sure with some imagination we can all guesstimate that they aren't cheap! You can see all of these costs start to amount to a larger figure... one Tiffany assumed without question from the kindness and love in her heart for somebody less fortunate who we now all consider family. On top of feeding 20+ horses (plus dogs, chickens, sheep, pigs etc) on their own farm and running two businesses during considerably unfavourable circumstances.
Under non-covid circumstances this may not have been something I felt Tiffany's would have needed. Though, through conversations me and Tiffany chatted about setting up a fundraiser for Cristiana for her more personal items like clothing / equipment etc but not for the entire costs. After a difficult year for everbody and Tiffany's being closed or the lack of tourism slowing business I would like to ask everybody to help a little bit towards helping Tiffany's Riding Centre fund Cristiana's dream and future career in Equine Management.
I hope to have given you an insight into the love and care shown at Tiffany's to all but specifically the kindness in Tiffany & Deborahs hearts along the years to ensuring Tiffany's is accesible to everyone, assuming the costs for kids without the same opportunities most of us have.
Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated by all of us at Tiffanys, Cristiana and of course Tiffany and Deborah... our beloved teachers both in the arena and out.
