Cristian's Leg Surgery!

This is Cristian. He is eight years old, loves Tonka trucks and marbles.  He lives in Honduras, one of the poorest countries in the world and his mother, a single parent of four children, makes barely enough to keep him and his siblings fed. I have known Cristian's family for many years as my family visits yearly and sponsors his brother for school. As you can see, he is a little person. On my last trip, I noticed Cristian's legs were even more bowed than previously and we had his Mom take him to an orthopedic surgeon to see if it could be fixed. In fact, he told us his upper and lower leg bones were so misaligned that Cristian will be crippled in a few years if it is not corrected soon. Correction requires surgery to realign the bones and use steel rods until they heal. Cristian's mother has no hope of being able to pay for the surgery. Your help will change Cristian's future completely. As a disabled adult in honduras his future is bleek , or he with surgery he will be able to thrive. We need the funds to cover the surgery, travel costs as well as to enable his mother to take time off work.  Any donation will help make a difference in this little boy's life.

I have taught Cristian for the last 3 years and have never once heard him complain. Despite his very challenging and sometimes painful condition, he is always on the move. His favorite activity is making other people laugh. He is an energetic, enthusiastic young boy who wants to take on the world. Cristian never allows his physical limitations to stop him; his top sports are floor hockey and soccer. We treasure his smile and creative sense of humor, he is a friend to the whole school. This surgery would absolutely change his life and he deserves a future as bright as he is.
