Mental Health Crisis Care Centre - Walk the UK

Lockdown 3.0 - Walk the UK (virtually) 

The North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust Mental Health Crisis Centre has decided that we need something to keep spirits high and bring a positive focus so we are embarking on a different kind of challenge than the one we are facing against the current corona virus pandemic. 

The Challenge will be to walk (run/cycle) the UK Coastline Virtually abiding by lockdown restrictions. The UK coastline stretches 11,000miles......

Our Centre comprises of the following teams:
All Age Access Team 
Home Treatment Team (18-65 years)
High Volume Users Team
Place of Safety (Section 136)
Site Management/Emergency Planning

We provide crisis support, assessment and advice to service users, families and carers.

We hope to use 50% of the money we raise to equip our centre with some sensory equipment that could be used by children who attend with parents or for their own assessment, for relaxation and mindfulness as well as supporting those therapeutically who attend our centre in mental health crisis. 

We also wish to donate 50% to 4Louis, a charity close to our hearts. 4Louis aim to provide hospitals free of charge with memory boxes to be given to bereaved parents who suffer the trauma of stillbirth or neonatal death. This amazing charity are so significant, capturing precious memories of little ones so that parents can treasure these in their hearts. A small charity that would  benefit so much from your kind donations.

So there we have it a group of mental health practitioners walking 11,000 miles to raise money for our centre and 4Louis Charity. Be kind!
