30 Cribs for Less Fortune Newborns

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Isabella and I am fourteen years old. Late in 2016, I had an idea on how to help less fortunate families by providing a safe and warm place for newborns to sleep. Poverty doesn't have borders and/or limits, unfortunately it exists in every corner of our world. This past summer before starting high school, I put my plan into action. My (soon to be nonprofit, with your help) organization "Cribs Without Borders", has already donated 23 cribs sets which include a new crib, mattress and bedding.  My goal is to donate a 1,000 cribs sets before graduating high school. With your help, this goal can become a reality.  Together we can make a difference.

We go where help is needed the most. The living conditions in which some  of the people we meet would suprise you, one could say they might even astonish you.  In some extreme cases, walls and roofs are constructed of old wooden garage doors. Complete living and sleeping areas are the size of one typical bedroom and some even with dirt floors. These conditions don't matter to us we will help where it's most needed.  Together we are hoping to make a difference in people's lives one crib set donation at a time.  The memories of the smiles we bring to people's faces with help of your donations will be everlasting to myself and our Cribs Without Borders FRIENDS.

One special story close to my heart. Baby Kevin is a story I'd like to share with you. He one's recipient that's very special to us since he's the only orphan we have provided a crib to. One can say he's our adopted Cribs Without Borders baby.

The story begins with Baby Kevin being abandoned by his drug addicted mother of 22 years of age at a rural orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico at 2 1/2 months old in the middle of the night. When Kevin arrived he suffered from extreme malnutrition, experiencing respiratory problems and suffering from a highly contagious disease - syphilis. Mother Lilian took him in with open arms, although they didn't take children under the age of 3 years old at the orphanage which houses 45 children ages 4-16 years old.  With the help of a local doctor which donated his time and medical training Baby Kevin was given immediate medical attention.  He did have to spend a month in the hospital which was also donated. Now this is where Cribs Without Borders comes in.  Through word a mouth one of the ladies that donates her time at the orphanage had heard about our organization and  reached out to us on a Friday evening,  as you can imagine we were more than happy to help any way we could.  By Saturday mid-day Baby Kevin had a brand new crib, mattress, bedding and baby changer.  Until now, he had slept in a car seat carrier. So many things make him special,  as Mother Lilian describes one of the qualities that make Baby Kevin even more special is despite all the adversity he has had to face he is always smiling.

We are glad to report 4 months later  that Baby Kevin is on his way to recovery and doing much better. Oh yes, he is still smiling.

Your donation at work. My goal is to continue helping people, with this GoFundMe fundraiser I plan to donate 30 more cribs on your behalf. Thanks to your generous support we are able to purchase GIFT sets at low costs. For every $99 in accumulated donations we can provide a brand new crib, crib mattress,  a waterproof pad, two bed sheets and two blankets to a family very much in need. Thanks to our CORPORATE PARTNERS it allows us to lower costs by more than 70% off the retail price, which help donations go a lot further. Please donate any amount that you can, no donation is too small.

My assurance. Be assured that 100% of your donation through the GoFundMe page will be going toward a family in need. All the FRIENDS of Cribs Without Borders and our support staff donate their precious TIME and TALENT. Please donate any amount that you can, no donation is too small.
