Crew's Family's Relief Fund with Jana Dawson

Hello and thank you for your time. I am a friend of Jana Dawson and am raising funds to assist the family with overwhelming medical costs that are not covered by insurance. Crew is 2 and a half-year-old boy that has experienced more medical procedures than most adults will in a lifetime and has more to go. Crew was born with a Congenital Heart Defect that has required 2 surgeries for correction and will need additional surgeries in the future. Crew recently underwent an extensive, rare heart surgery that very few doctors are able to perform. He was discharged from the hospital but within 4 short days he was re-admitted to the hospital requiring extensive diuretics and a chest tube for fluid backing around his lungs. The interventions showed some relief initially however, the effusion is building again. Crew's medical team is working to find out the cause and how to treat the fluid building up around his lungs making it difficult for him to breathe. Crew's parents, Jana and Jared are hard-working, a middle class couple. Insurance is covering some of his hospitalization costs but the amount that is not covered is growing at an exponential rate. In addition to direct medical costs, there are costs associated with travel to the hospital to see their other son and continue to work, as well as meals and parking. Jana and Jared are exploring additional resources for assistance however they need immediate financial relief. Our goal is to raise $20,000.00 to offset amounts already paid out of pocket as well as anticipated costs for his ongoing hospitalization.
