Joe Hall's Creole Story - a documentary film

Donation protected

This project is a 30-40 minute film documentary exploring the life of musician Joe Hall, of Joe Hall & the Louisiana Cane Cutters, and the musical heritage of Creoles in Louisiana. The film will celebrate Louisiana's "Gumbo of Cultures" bringing people of all races together on the dance floors across Louisiana. We tell the story of Joe Hall learning from his grandfather Clement King Ned, as well as interviews with current-day musicians who were also influenced by the Creole heritage of Southwest Louisiana. We need financial help for film editing and music score creation. Your donations will help us complete the project. We currently have plenty of material but the assembly and final editing is next. Your donations are greatly appreciated. *All donors of $100 or more receive a final DVD of the documentary. - thank you Mark Palms
