Cremation & final costs for my Mom!

Donation protected
On February 23rd, sadly my Mom, Genna passed away peacefully in her sleep. Though it is much too soon for me..God had other plans for her. She was called Home to be with her Lord. She is now resting peacefully in His loving arms. She has been joyfully reunited once again with my brother, Brandon and so many more!

Mom was a phenomenal woman and person. She raised myself and my brother on her own.  A single mom trying to make ends meet. Life was hard on mom, but she took it in stride and never failed to let us know we were loved. Though we were poor financially we were rich in love.

Mom had a great sense of humor and could make anyone's day brighter by cracking a joke. She loved to play pranks on me and Brandon. It began when we were kids and continued on throughout our adulthood. Mom loved her family tremendously!

She had four siblings, Arlen, Terry, Mike and Nikki. She treasured, though at times it did not seem so! I have heard too many stories to count about them all! Each having a unique personality but what they had in common is the blessing of humor and the love for one another.

Mom was raised in church, along with all her siblings. She loved the Lord and never cheated anyone out of hearing her stories about God, whether you wanted to hear it or not! Her and her mom shared that same connection! As a small child I remember her repainting the church we went to. She taught Sunday school I and often sang. I loved going to church with her. Mom made a lot of clothes for me and her. We almost always matched! When Brandon came along he too got matching outfits! Mom was talented in many ways! I loved the fact that she would always make my Halloween costumes by hand and they were always, like mom....unique!

Mom was a hard worker! Both my brother and I learned our work ethic through her. She never missed work if she could help it. She worked in the field of Developmental Optometry for a large part of her life. It was her passion! She loved helping the children that came into the office to be "fixed". From the time she began her career in Optometry, until the day she died she always had to comment on peoples glasses! "Those are awful, I would not have put them in that frame! What were they thinking"? was a favorite of hers!

Another favorite thing in mom's life were her grandkids! She was blessed with three of them! Oh how she loved them! She never went anywhere without at least one picture of them in her purse. She looked forward to her weekly telephone chats with them. Many of her most prized possessions were things her grandkids made for her. Mom also loved her T.V and Hallmark Christmas movies! You were hard pressed to get her away from her television! She and I loved to watch true crime shows and anything about the Royal Family! She meant so much to me. She was my best friend. She never judged me and was always there for me. Our dream was to travel to England. We talked about the sites we would see, the food we would eat and where we would stay! We were looking forward to watching the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry!

Though I understand why God chose her (as her grandaughter, Kayli says, ("God chooses the good ones.") And she was a "good one", I am struggling to reconcile God's wishes and my heart. I cry a lot and am of course heartbroken. In addition to myself, mom leaves behind three grandkids, a daughter-in-law, my husband, two brothers, a sister and many more who loved her!

Please help me carry out her final wishes. She wished to be cremated and for her ashes to be distributed between me and the grandkids, She also wished there to be no funeral or memorial, but instead to have a family gathering where we laugh and talk about our memories of her. Mom had no life insurance or any retirement accounts. Her final costs lye with me and my husband, Jeremy. We are in need of your help! We need to generate the monies as quickly as possible. All proceeds from this campaign will go towards her cremation and final expenses. Any amount is appreciated. Go fund me takes very little of the proceeds and also accepts credit cards. If you would prefer you can  choose to remain anonymous. Thank you very much for finding it in your to help!

Please continue to pray for me and all our family!

Love,

Dani
