More information about Riprap Friends: Riprap Friends facilitates support services for pediatric cancer patients. While on treatment, children are unable to go to school or participate in many favorite childhood activities. Riprap Friends brings the activity to them-providing in home dance, yoga, cooking, art, music lessons and more!

The name “Riprap Friends” comes from the word for a stone wall used to armor shorelines against water erosion. Riprap Friends provides a metaphorical armor for pediatric cancer patients and their families against some of the often overlooked erosive characteristics of childhood cancer: social, creative, and emotional isolation.
