Crate Mates 2nd Bday - 'Pay the Rent'

Crate Mates collective has elected this charity to raise funds for land that was forcibly taken from Indigenous people. There has been no Treaty with the First Nations of this place and the effects of colonisation continue to this day.
One hundred percent of your Rent goes to Aboriginal people in Victoria. The role of non-Indigenous people involved in this Pay the Rent process is purely to deal with rent payers and the colonial state. These people give their time freely, and they are fully accountable to the Aboriginal Sovereign Body that makes decisions about the allocation of Pay the Rent funds.
We are grateful for the opportunities we have been/are given to hold our events on indigenous land and encourage our friends and those who have attended our events to make a contribution to the original custodians of our land.
