Craig's story

Craig is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He and his family moved to Ladysmith, WI to start a new chapter in life.  He moved there in 1996 and started his own small business, Continental Cabinets & Supply. Just 5 years into building a successful business he was blindsided with M S .

         * M S (Multiple Sclerosis) is a long lasting disease of the central nervous system than can affect the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves in your eyes. It can cause problems with vision, balance, muscle control, and other basic bodily functions.

        * The severity and progression of the disease vary from person to person. Craig's M S is in the Secondary Progressive Stage which has left him without the use of his legs since 2009. He utilizes a power scooter to get around and run his business, espite the progression of his disease.

In 2003 Craig suffered a heart attack. And in 2007, was diagnosed with  Lymes disease.

         * Lymes disease is a tick-bourne illness that is transmitted through the bite ofand an infected tick.

         * The disease can affect the joints and heart causing extreme fatigue, numbness tingling in hands, feet, and back. It can also cause problems with memory, mood, and sleep.

Craig loves his kids and grandkids, but finds it very
disappointing that his disease prevents him from  doing things for them and with them. He is not a person who likes to ask  for help,  but has had to depend alot on family and friends for even simple tasks in recent years. He has been hospitalized twice in the last year with pneumonia, likely caused by his immobility.

Craig has had a resiliant spirit  through it all. He and his family would like nothing more than for him to regain some of his mobility so that he can live a fuller life. The drug therapy plan that Craig has been on has not been effective in dealing with the symtoms of his disease. There have been new research and therapies that are giving  M S patients new hope. One of the new therapies that is working really well is Stem Cell Therapy.

*Stem Cell Therapy treats patients by using a persons own stem cells. Stem cells aere the basic building blocks of human tissue and have the ability to repair, rebuild, and rejuvinate tissues in the body. Craig is seeking this therapy through Stem Genex Medical Group. Stem Genex seeks to uphold the highest  level of ethical conduct by making safety and effectiveness it's primary focus. Their clinical stem cell study on M S is registered through the National Institute of Health.

Stem Genex custom designs a treatment  plan for each patient based on the diseases, complications and symptoms.  Candidates for this treatment include those who have not responded well to a drug treatment plan which describes Craig's   situation. Their  goal is to bring an optimum quality of life to every patient.

The treatment cost of $25,000 is not currently being covered by health insurance. All donations will be used to cover the cost  of this treatment at Stem Genex clinic in California.

Thank you and God bless you for your prayers, love, and support for Craig. Let's help make Craig's dream of being more able to more freely play with his grandchildren a reality  by reaching the $25000 goal.
