Craig Cotten

Hi all family and friends, my name is Cate for those who might not know me. I started a GoFundMe for my moms brother Craig. Craig lives in Rochester MN, and is the owner of his store the Book Review. Recently Craig wasn’t feeling like himself and thought he was just undergoing a cold. On Thursday June 23rd, what felt like a cold to Craig turned into something much worse. Being Craig’s only family and living a good distance away, he called a good friend to take him to the hospital. Once his friend arrived he knew this was much worse and Craig was than taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic. As my mom and brother drove two hours to get to Craig as fast as they could, they along with Craig heard the news none of us were expecting. Craig was told that if he had waited any longer to come in that night he would not have survived, as his organs were shutting down because he was going into septic shock. Craig was than diagnosed with kidney stones, pneumonia, and on top of that he was told he had a very aggressive acute leukemia. With having both the pneumonia and kidney stones on top of having cancer he doesn’t have much of an immune system to fight this alone, he was admitted to the ICU and was put on a breathing tube. They’re going to start dialysis to try and tackle the pneumonia and kidney problems to hopefully begin to tackle the leukemia. As Craig is self employed his store has currently been shut down. We would appreciate any help we can get even just a simple prayer will go a long way as we have a long journey ahead of us. All money donations will go towards any medical bills/expenses as this is going to be a very long stay. We truly appreciate the love and support and we know Craig does as well!
