Cambodia Covid Relief for Disadvantaged Artisans
Donation protected
As Covid conditions in the US improve, media reports of the crisis in Cambodia are being blocked in many areas hit the hardest. The Cambodian government launched a lockdown in the main city of Phnom Penh and the surrounding communities, declaring it a red hot spot. In an attempt to keep the situation quiet, humanitarian groups are even being blocked from helping people that are most desperate. Many of those who protest and ask for help are being persecuted by the government. Everything has shut down and the already vulnerable people have their lost jobs and have no income or access to basic necessities like food and water.
Craftworks Cambodia is a Fair Trade organization that employs workers with disabilities and disadvantages in some of the poorest communities. They have been helping provide food to local families, but with extremely limited funds, they need support from friends around the world to get through this difficult time. Anything you can give helps and the families thank you for your generosity!
