Ride for a New Insulin Pump

My name is Lauren Korniczky and I am a strong, confident, outgoing woman who is also a Type I Diabetic. Over the last 14 years I have been using an insulin pump and until now I have had few problems. This past year I have been having issues with my pump and am trying to upgrade it to the newest in artificial pancreatic technology, this is costly and I am asking for your help!

In order to show my gratitude and help inspire other diabetics, I am riding my bicycle from Buffalo, New York to Acadia National Park in Maine. The journey will be about 867 miles and take about two weeks. Illness should never stand in the way of your dreams and as a juvenile diabetic I am going to show others that this disease will not stop us, it will only drive us to work harder, be better and reach farther.
