AJ Martinez Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Andrew Martinez Jr. (aka AJ) was beginning his life when he passed away on June 29, 2014 in an unexpected and tragic accident. He was 18 years old.
Our family donated his organs to save the lives of others. With that he saved the lives of 4 people with his heart, kindeys and liver. The recipients are recovering well.
Aj loved his family. He was happist at the family ranch, spending time with his many nieces and nephews. AJ was 4th generation of hay farmer, working at the Martinez Ranch off of Petaluma Hill Road. He learned to rake hay at the age of 6. Aj learned what hard work was all about, which groomed him to became the man he was.
Aj lived his life to the fullest. A.J. was an avid fisherman and hunter, with a special liking to waterfowl. He enjoyed teaching his skills to others. if it wasn't techniques with duck calls, it was staying still in the blind.
Aj went to Penngrove Elementary School where he started his early years. He brought his big smile and caring attitude. He continued on to Petaluma JR High School, then to Petaluma High School where he enrolled in FFA for AG mechnices and showing sheep at the Sonoma County Fair. He will be missed by all his teachers as well as his many peers.
Many people have asked how they can help the family. A fund has been established to help with medical and memorial expenses. Any monies donated above these expenses will be shared to setup two scholarships supporting 4-H and FFA in memory of "A.J." Martinez.
