I need to raise $2,300 to relinquish my US Citizenship. I would rather put the money into a sustainable forestry demonstration project which will show that there is another use for Irish farmland other than putting it into grassland to feed cattle for shipping to China.
I would like to begin the process of relinquishment immediately. I can start the process but would like to have other like minded people help me out with the funding.

I moved to Ireland from the USA back in 1996. My wife is Irish and we moved when our youngest was 2 months old. We moved to raise our family in a peaceful environment.
I was a home dad for all of our years in Ireland. I have been of retirement age for a few years now. It has long been time for us to make changes to our banking and investments to take account of our current position in life which has changed since moving to Ireland.
At every turn we have been turned down for accounts due to my citizenship in the USA. I went into the US Embassy in Dublin and was informed that it would cost me $2,300.00 to get rid of my US citizenship. That fee is ridiculous and extortionate in my opinion
Well, I would really rather put that money into helping develop a sustainable forestry project as all of our kids need to have a future. I have the business experience necessary to carry off the venture mentioned. I started up Bend in The Barrow in 2013 when our youngest was on her way to college. I have built up a niche natural soap and related products manufacturing business. Bend in the Barrow serves as an example that it is possible for us to make changes necessary to our way of organising ourselves towards having a sustainable future. I wold like to do the same thing with a forestry project showing the Irish people that it is possible to do something different with arable land.
