Kimmie and CULAC

It is my honor and privilege to know and love Kimberly. She is bossy and brave. She is a fighter and cusses like a sailor when she's mad. She wears a helmet with bling and sporty velcro shoes like a champ. She is magic. She spends her day with equally brave and sporty friends at CULAC (Carolyn's Unique Learning Activity Center) in Mesquite. Kimmie LOVES, LOVES it there. They dance there (they gangum style, get low and wobble). They go on field trips and visit the State Fair (imagine funnel cake mustaches). They are treated with respect and kindness by our CULAC family. It shouldn't be shocking to have your special needs child cared for and loved, but it's rare and that's disappointing. Kimberly and crew are valued at CULAC.
CULAC has been in an office building for the last few years. They are constantly getting complaints from other tenants about noise (duh, they are wobbling). This population is often not welcome in the community and this office buildling has proven they are no different (shame, shame I know your name). So...CULAC is moving to a free standing building in the next 30-45 days. One big need is a new commercial washer and dryer at the new facility. They are constantly washing clothes (duh, they are having so much fun a drink spills now and then and I'd pee my pants too with all that jumping around). No one can wobble effectively with white walls, so they'll need paint and paint brushes and ofcourse landscaping b/c with this group you always stop to smell the roses.
If you decide today to ditch McDonald's and give your value meal dollars to Kimmie and CULAC, you're making a difference. If you have read this and next time you see a friend of Kimmie's at Walmart and you acknowledge them, you're making a difference.
