Help us get to Odyssey of the Mind World Finals

Hi,

We are a team of 4th graders from Bancroft Elementary School in Walnut Creek, CA and we need your support to help us get to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind (OM) World Finals in Lansing, Michigan (May 24-27, 2023).

You might be wondering what Odyssey of the Mind is - it is a creative problem-solving competition where teams work together for months to come up with solutions to a specific problem. Solutions are presented in an 8-minute play and involve lots of construction, design and, in our case, drama, melodrama and jokes (aka comedy).

We worked really hard on our set and play and we placed 2nd in the Regional OM competition and 3rd in the State OM competition. We are thrilled to move on to the World Finals in Lansing, Michigan where we will get to compete with teams from all over the world but we learned that the trip would cost more than $15,000 dollars in total.

Your kind donations will go towards flights and accommodations for our team, our coach, our chaperones and for shipping the props we so carefully designed and built (think a bedroom that turns into a ballroom and many more).
