Colt's Medical Fund

Update: Colt is home!! He is one of the happiest and most smiley babies around...and we think that's because he knows how many people love and care for him! As parents, we are continuing to diligently monitor his health, but overall are FINALLY getting the opportunity to enjoy our little family. With all the support we have been given and through God's healing touch we now get to enjoy being parents! We hope you like the pictures and video we included below and we want everyone to know how truly grateful we are for EVERYTHING you all have done. We truly could not have made it through this journey without the outpouring of love and support we received from so many people. "Thank you" doesn't come close to covering how we feel, but they are the only words that we have...so THANK YOU!!!!

Colt Easton Nazario was born on May 25, 2017 weighing in at 7lbs 1oz and 21 inches long to the proud parents, Caleb and Jennifer.  2 days after birth on May 27, 2017 Colt was transferred to the NICU due to complications with his bowel where he was later diagnosed with Hirschprung's Disease.  For those of us that don't know what this means, he had a section of his colon that did not function properly.  Consequently, little Colt had to undergo surgery while he was only 13 days old.  Just like the little warrior he is, he made it through surgery with flying colors!  In total Colt spent 19 days in the NICU. During this time his parents stayed with him at his bedside, spending their days and nights holding him as best they could while he was being treated.

On June 14, 2017 Colt was FINALLY able to come home for the first time.  However, his parents were only able to enjoy a short 12 days with him at home before they had to rush him to the ER with a severe allergic reaction.  They were able to bring him home that same day only to rush him back 2 days later due to a fever and bacterial infection. Again, the little warrior is doing miraculously with the help of his dedicated parents and medical staff.

As of this writing, Colt is being treated for meningitis and will most likely be in the hospital and on antibiotics for nearly another 2 weeks.  As I'm sure most of you can imagine, this has been a very difficult time for the family.  The medical expenses have begun to pile up in addition to the added costs of being by his bed side.  Both Caleb and Jennifer have been working tirelessly to make sure that they are taking care of everything related to Colt's needs - but this experience has been a strain on them both emotionally and financially, an experience that they wouldn't change for anything because they cherish their sweet Colt so much.  As family members, we have seen this struggle and decided to try and support them in every way we can...that is why we have started this fundraiser.  I know that Colt's parents appreciate beyond measure, any support you may give...words of encouragement, prayers, love, or a monetary donation.

From the bottom of all our hearts, we thank you!!!
