The holiday season has officially begun and although it has been a difficult and trying year for everyone, this season brings joy and hope for many. During this season, we are often reminded of those who are in need and the importance of giving.
This holiday season we are asking you to help one of our own. He is a father raising his CP warrior daughter alone. He has had to stop working in order to care for his little girl during the COVID lockdown. This 10 year old girl is sweet, spunky and very clever. She is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair to get around most times. She relies on her father to take care of her and loves him so much.
Dad is a kind, compassionate, humble, hard-working man struggling to give his daughter every opportunity possible. Like most special needs parents, he spends every penny he has on therapy in order for her to gain more independence. In an effort to give her more, he tries to pick up extra work whenever he can, usually while she is in respite. They enjoy going to the park and swimming together. His whole life is dedicated only to his daughter and making this world a better place for her.
Like many of us, dad relies on his car to get to jobs and to take his daughter to school, therapy and activities. He has an old car that has broken down MANY times and has become unreliable. We would love to surprise him by raising some money that he can use towards purchasing a safe and reliable vehicle that will last them for many years to come.
