Cox Family Fire Relief

Donation protected

During the early morning hours of December 5, 2017, our dear friends, the Nick and Hilary Cox family of North Powder, Oregon, lost their home to fire.

We are so very grateful that Nick and Hilary and their four children were able to escape unharmed, but their home, which they only just completed building this year, was a total loss.  A few belongings have been salvaged, but they effectively lost everything.

For those who know the Cox family well, we feel to say that such a tragedy couldn't have struck a nicer family.  We truly ache with them at this time, which, with Christmas just a few days away, would normally be a time of cheer and celebration.

We humbly appeal to anyone able to join us in reaching out to show the Cox family that we love and support them.  Donations of any size will be immensely appreciated as they begin to rebuild their life here in Eastern Oregon.  Contributions can also be made at the Baker City, La Grande and Island City branches of Umpqua Bank.

Funds donated will be used immediately to purchase clothing and other basic necessities, and to help bring a Christmas to the Cox children.  Funds will also be used to help replace household items needed as the Cox family rebuilds.

If you are not in a position to offer monetary assistance, we will be grateful in equal measure for prayers offered on their behalf, and for other forms of outreach and compassion.
