Coweta Youth Sports Vandalism Incident (Oklahoma)

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Coweta Youth Sports Inc. My name is Tharon Rivers and I am the League President of CYS. During the overnight hours between 5/16/2019-5/17/2019, a vandal(s) unlawfully gained entry to our youth sports baseball and softball fields through a gated and locked entry point by damaging the gate. We have two water faucets near the softball field backstops and both were turned on full strength and had flooded our fields, damaging our recently completed dirt work on the two softball fields. Our contractor, who luckily had our park scheduled to complete the work on the two baseball fields today and through the weekend, discovered the faucets running and immediately turned them off and notified our League Board. Due to the water that flooded all 4 outfields and some areas of the infields, the contractor was rendered unable to bring their necessary heavy equipment onto the fields to complete the work. This is a huge setback for our league and any help that can be sent our way in the form of donations would be greatly appreciated. Any funds that are accrued in excess of the amount needed to repair what was damaged will be utilized to enter Phase II of our project which is to renovate and level the outfields of our fields. This will benefit our youth by making our fields drain properly so that we can more easily recover from rain events that happen so frequently during the baseball season.
