Help for COVID-19 Survivor Chris Hirte

March 28, the day before my brother Chris's 50th birthday, he was diagnosed with COVID-19. He spent 208 days in the hospital and nursing home, finally coming home on October 22, 2020.
He was on a ventilator for 59 days, had his lungs collapse multiple times, ran a fever up to 108 (the doctors thought he was going to die), and had a very large, very deep bedsore on his backside that caused him great pain.
He has made enough progress that he can finally be taken care of at my home now! He continues to do better every day and now needs some specialized equipment. He needs a Stand Assist Lift so that he can learn to get out of bed into a standing position. This device costs around $600. My home needs a long curved stairlift so that he can use any living level in my home. The stair lift is approximately $13,500. I have also had to install an exterior ramp so he can get into my home in a wheelchair and another from my kitchen to my dining room which is temporarily his bedroom. There are some other supplies that his insurance does not cover that I have been paying for, mostly related to his bedsore (bandages and equipment to prevent it from getting worse or another one appearing).
If you know my brother you know that he is always willing to lend a helping hand and is often considered the "go to guy." You know that he has a sarcastic sense of humor and wears t-shirts with funny sayings on them. I am so happy that he survived this illness and that he is home. I just need a couple of things to help him get his life back!
