WHO WE ARE
Chicatolia is an artisan collective boutique and event space in the heart of Chicago’s historic Andersonville neighborhood. Our goal is to bring local and global artists together and give them a platform to engage with the community and sell their unique creations. We are a diverse collective within the store, a place where artists and art lovers can be supported and thrive.
A GLOBAL SITUATION
But, like so many other businesses, we've had to close our doors. Our collective of artists, like so many around the globe, are facing the hardship of not having a place to create, engage, and sell their unique handmade goods. Other revenue streams like festivals and art fairs have been cancelled or pushed back indefinitely.
WHEN YOU HELP US, YOU HELP THE COMMUNITY
So we need your help. We need to stay open. Artists need a place to be in community and to sell what they create so they can keep creating. Help our artists be artists! We need to cover our expenses for the following three months so the store can reopen after the coronavirus pandemic crisis passes.
WHERE WILL YOUR FUNDS GO?
Your support will mean allowing us to continue to support and inspire artists in community. It will enable us to continue to provide:
~Workshop space for our artisans to work and create
~A platform for artists to sell their handmade goods
~A gathering place for artists and public events
~Business training for artists
~An event space to host workshops for the community
~Supporting our charities such as Art Loves Science Foundation
Help us pay our rent, utilities, insurance, staff, and artists so we can continue to engage with and support artists globally and locally!! We need you! Our community needs you! Our artists need you!
