Hi my names Destini, a lot of you know from from being on Discord with me within the last two/three years. Many don't know, however, that I've been struggling with a brain tumor on my frontal lobe for about a year now. This does make me an "at-risk" patient for COVID.
As of October 29th, I've tested positive for COVID-19 and have been quarantining myself away from others (excluding my grandma, but I'm wearing a mask and gloves when I'm around her and its usually not for very long).
During the time of my cancer treatment, my dad's job has been providing him and I insurance. Unfortunately, he passed away two months ago in a hit and run accident which led to me losing insurance.
As of now, my grandma has been paying for treatment out of pocket until I turn 18 since I'll be able to have my own insurance (I turn 18 on November 21st). COVID treatment can cost upmost of $30,000 and without any help it feels almost impossible to get out of medical bill debt for me and my grandma to pull ourselves out of.
The money that I'm asking for will be given to my grandma to help go towards any future bills/visits that need to be paid for within the next 2 weeks. Doctors visits can cost anywhere from $75-$300 per visit, and being high risk makes the visits more frequent until I no longer have COVID.
