Covid Expense Fundraiser for Mark Dagostino

Mark Dagostino, writer, son, brother, father, life partner to Terry,  is in the ICU at a hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire with severe Covid. Mark first started having symptoms January 30th (9 days ago) and was experiencing fevers, headaches and exhaustion. His life partner and love, Terry Taylor, is also sick with Covid. Yesterday morning Mark was having trouble breathing and was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted to the ICU on oxygen. The next hours are critical and all prayers are welcomed. Mark's two kids are not infected, thank goodness.

Mark has received steroids, blood thinners and Remdesivir, but not plasma, because the hopsital where he is doesn't have any. The insurance he has only covers this particular hospital. Mark is a self-employed writer, and thus his income depends on the individual projects he's commissioned on. Like most Americans, Mark and Terry live month to month and do not have the funds to cover medical expenses Mark's insurance doesn't cover. 

I've known Mark for about a decade in his capacity as a writer, working with him on several projects (I'm a literary agent), and I consider him a dear friend as well. I know that his books and words have touched many, and I'm hoping that by reaching out to you, together we can raise money to help him get any life-saving treatment he may need.

I mentioned Terry is also sick, and she's been inundated with messages asking for updates, so I've offered to post them here. His parents Ruthan and Ben are currently caring for Ben's 96-yr-old mother in her own home so it's hard for them to keep up with the messages as well.  I'll keep this page updated with any new information I receive.

In the meantime, I ask that you keep Mark and Terry in your prayers and please donate if you are able. No one should be denied treatment or go into debt because our country's healthcare system is a mess, and I hope we can raise enough so that money is not an impediment to any treatment that could help Mark.
