Cousin Mihael - knee surgery

This is our cousin Mihael Jardas, He is the son of Milko who is the son of Tonica - Grandmas sister. We met him and his family when we visited croatia this summer. He was a great help and his family showed us amazing generosity and kindness. We felt like we knew each other for longer than a few days. Mihael told us he was a professional football (soccer) player, but had a knee injury. He now drives a school bus and is a personal trainer. After we returned to the US I was wondering if he ever had his knee fixed, as many players continue playing after injuries. Somewhat reluctantly he told me that without a government contract job that the surgey was too expensive. I was sobered to think that this young 24 year old vibrant man is limited because of money. When I asked him if I could ask his big American family to help out, he was extremely thankful for the thought and kindess and agreed.
I had Mihael research the cost and hospital stay. Here is what he said, "I called the hospital today and talked to a doctor Sasa Jankovic. First of all I want to thank you for your worries about my injury. I don't know what to say, you are too kind and I'm happy to know we have such a great person in our family. Doctor Jankovic is also my professor in college. He teaches sport medicine and he is the best orthopedic doctor in Croatia. He is the chief doctor of Croatian football national team and there isn't a better place to have knee surgery than his hospital."
The cost in US dolars is 4945. So this is where we can all help out a little or a lot and bless this cousin across the sea. I told him lets see if we can raise the funds. Anything you can contribute will help. And as Mihael said, " I know it is a lot of money and I don't expect anything from you and don't want to make pressure on you. I'm already blessed that we met."
So Family lets see what we can do as a Croatian force for good. Thank You!!!
