SSgt Courtney Marie Hamilton passed away last Friday due to complications from her ongoing battle with leukemia.
SSgt Hamilton was born on September 25th, 1987 in her favorite state, Louisiana. She was charismatic, passionate, and a strong leader devoted to the service of others. She excelled on her High School debate team and was a star soccer player in College. Her desire to serve brought her to the United States Air Force after having obtained her degree. She enlisted in the USAF and served her entire enlistment under the 45th Intelligence Squadron (Hootie Nation) and was recently selected for Officer Training School, one of her many goals.
Courtney taught us all that hard work and dedication pays off, to always keep your eyes on the prize, and to be kind. Her selflessness, compassion, and attitude towards life will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of meeting her.
