Courage for Carter

My name is Joanna and I’m starting a fundraiser for my son Carter. He’s only 5 years old but he’s by far the best person I’ve ever known. He’s the happiest kid with the biggest heart! As soon as he walks in a room he just makes people light up with his huge and bubbly personality!

On June 17th he was diagnosed with a tumor. As of today there is no known cure for it. It’s pretty severe and it’s in a very delicate area of his brain so surgery isn’t even an option. On Wednesday, June 22nd he started 6 weeks of radiation to help minimize the size of the tumor but so far nothing has helped cure this. It’s very rare and only about 200 kids in the US get it a year. My incredible son just happens to be one.

He’s so honest, pure, ambitious, smart, goal orientated, and just an amazing soul. His favorite things include learning the bones inside the human body, astronomy, Addams Family, aviation, arachnids, math, Star Wars, construction, and everything that’s a How-to to teach himself.

Im starting this fundraiser not only to help with the crazy bills we are about to get, but also to help give him extra happiness to complete his life. After diagnosis, the average time left is approximately one year. He’s given every person he’s met a big smile, now we would like to help do the same for him. No one deserves this, especially him.
