Costa Family Relief Fund

Tragedies always come as a surprise. The irony behind tragedy is that everyone gets an inclination, looking back,  that there is something they could have done to prevent the situation, but no one could have known what was going to take place in the Costa family on Christmas Eve, 2018.

Anne and the Costa family have inspired many people over the years. Anne has always been selflessly devoted to helping others when they need someone the most. She has raised an incredible family of young men and shown them, and all of us, just how incredibly strong a  mother, sister, aunt, woman, and a friend can be. With God's help and the quick reactions from her sons, Anne endured through multiple gunshot wounds. She is stable and recovering but remains in intensive care in the hospital. Her road to recovery is going to be long and it is not going to be easy. 

Although we all wish we could change the events that unfolded that night, we have to remember that what took place could not be changed. One person's choice does not negate any decisions anyone else could have made. Loris Costa was Anne's longtime husband and the father of Nick, Nathan, and Noah. They all shared a lifetime of memories and loved him dearly. Just as Anne and her sons have inspired us and/or been there when we needed someone, it is our turn to be there for them. We can help by donating to the relief fund that will help to reduce the monetary burdens associated with this tragedy.

We hope to raise enough money to take care of the family so they can transition as smoothly as possible into whatever God presents them with next. The Costa family will be off of work until it is no longer necessary. They will have to pay for a number of expenses, not all of which can be foreseen, but we know that we must raise enough funds to at least cover expenses such as the medical, funeral for Loris, house clean-up and repairs, gas, food, house bills, car bills, phone bills, and insurance.
