We all have one deep and driving passion in life.
For me, that driving passion is giving people the tools they need to become the fullest version of themselves they can be.
I have been honored to spend my professional life educating students in the public schools and encouraging civic engagement both within and without the schoolhouse. Today, I am proud to still work in public education as part of a culture that is daily becoming more student-centered and innovative.
For as long as I can remember I have said that as leaders and educators we are "growing people, not grass". To create well-educated whole individuals that have the skills to be successful emotionally, socially, academically, and professionally we have to lead individuals to understand who they are. All of us are most satisfied and accomplish our greatest feats when we are working in our areas of strength. Clifton StrengthsFinder changes people's lives and I want to be a part of that impact.

That is why I am asking for help to take the next step in being trained to lead people in identifying their own strengths and talents so that they can not only find achievement and satisfaction but an understanding of the talents of others that allows them to work effectively as members of a team. 
This fund is to pay for my own professional development so that I can spend 4.5 days training to become Gallup-certified StrengthsFinder Coach.
This certification will not only directly help me in better understanding my students and identify their strengths, but help me be able to get them to work most effectively and successfully as individuals and in teams by understanding the strengths within themselves and their team. The money raised in this fund goes entirely to the cost of tuition for this certification

By completing this certification, I will be certified by the Gallup organization to be a trainer of trainers and to conduct professional development for individuals who work in professional or educational setting so that we can have a ripple effect in making those in our charge better understanding of themselves in a way that brings them greater success and satisfaction. By partnering with me as a sponsor in this fund you will make sure that more student organizations, educators, leaders, and organizations focus on the strengths of the people in their organization; creating a culture of excellence. We can create a butterfly effect of exceptional achievement.
I will be qualified to work with student groups, organizations, and clubs to train them in the various aspects related to the StrengthFinder program and how it will change their lives and organizations.

Because of my passion for this, I have made a lot of contacts and sought out the best value I can find. By making connections and trying to get the most for our money I have been able to get the original cost of this highly specialized certification, which is normally nearly $8,000 cut in half. Now I need your help to raise the other half that I need to achieve this dream and help take my passion for educating others to the next level.

As a special offer, after I am certified I am willing to do a group training free of charge for any group of six or more people that wants to get together to sponsor me at a level of $500 or more. The participants would only have to pay for their own StrengthsFinder survey access and any supplies they need.
