Cory Waters and family' Living with ALS' fund.

Quick update>>>>>>It has been about a year since I started this gofundme account and shared the horrible news about my son Corys' ALS diagnosis. Cory is close to the end of his battle with this most despicable of diseases.
I want to thank everyone for all the emotional and financial assistance. The money helped immensely to make this last year of his life ever so much more bearable.
I'm going to send the donation page around one last time and try to raise enough for not only the cremation and whatnot but also to give Corys' wonderful partner-in-life some time to grieve without having to stress too much about money.
Cory requested that no pictures be posted, so sorry, no updated pictures.
Take good care, tata for the now, Wanda.

My name is Wanda Sanford. My goal is to help raise money for my son Cory Waters and his family. The money will help pay for all manner of medical expenses, medical equipment and personnel to operate (if + when needed), in-home personal care and nursing, living expenses, and the list goes on. Last month we got the news that my son, Cory Waters, had been diagnosed with ALS. He's not quite 42. This is all so...I don't even know what to say. ALS is relentless and as heartless as heartless can be, and it's fatal. I'm not going to go into detail, I just can't. Here's an address to copy and paste, it will give you the gory details.....https://als.ca/what-is-als/about-als/

Cory has worked in the trades most of his working life. He has to use a cane much of the time now so of course, it's difficult to keep working. We help financially as much as we can, but his partner is pretty much the sole financial support for the family. They live in Whitehorse. Two teenage daughters, Abbie & Alexis, live part-time with them in Whitehorse. Tie, his son, well he's an adult now, but visits when able.

The ALS Clinic is in Vancouver, and it's costly travelling back and forth. Very little in the way of these specialized medications and equipment are covered by anyone, other than the victims of this disease and their families. All financial help is welcome and very much appreciated.

To help with raising much-needed money, there are going to be bottle drives as well, more on that soon.

As a mother, this is a nightmare situation. Raising money makes me feel like I'm doing something somewhat useful. I feel a smidge less helpless.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank in advance all who will help. Please share this far and wide.
