Coromoto 2020 es un proyecto de un grupo de laicos venezolanos, comprometidos de la Iglesia Católica, sin fines de lucro, el cual ha sido aprobado por su Eminencia el Cardenal Baltazar Porras. Esta iniciativa surge como respuesta a la crisis alimentaria actual que enfrentan las personas más vulnerables de Venezuela, a causa de la pandemia del Covid-19 y las dificultades de transporte, abastecimiento y la paralización de fuentes de ingresos.
Creemos en la capacidad de amar y la solidaridad de los seres humanos y por ello es nuestro deseo unir voluntades para ayudar a los más desfavorecidos. Al servirlos a ellos es al mismo Cristo a quien servimos: “en verdad os digo que cuanto hicisteis a uno de estos hermanos míos más pequeños, a mí me lo hicisteis” (Mt 25,40).
¿Cuál es nuestro Objetivo?
Entregar más de 2000 kits de comida a las personas más necesitadas a través de las 16 vicarías parroquiales de la Arquidiócesis de Caracas. Venezuela (parroquias encomendadas a religiosas) y los colegios Mano Amiga ubicados en las zonas de Turgua y Mariches.

Coromoto 2020 is a nonprofit created and led by Venezuelans committed to the Catholic Church, which has been approved by His Eminence Cardinal Baltazar Porras. This initiative arises in response to the current food crisis faced by Venezuela's most vulnerable people, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, difficulties to get transportation and the paralysis of income sources.
We believe in the capacity of love and the solidarity of human beings; for this reason, our desire to unite decides to help the most disadvantaged. As we serve them, it is Christ to whom we serve: "Truly I say unto you, what you did to one of these younger brothers of mine, you did it to me" (Mt 25,)
What is our Goal? To deliver more than 2000 food kits to the people most in need through the 16 parish vicarages of the Archdiocese of Caracas, Venezuela, (parishes entrusted to religious), and the Mano Amiga schools located in Turgua and Mariche on the outskirts of the capital city.
