Do you have any idea how many times these things are said in classrooms all across America?

Consider that 1 in 5 elementary age children , 1 in 7 middle school age, 1 in 9 highschool age, and 1 in 20 adults deal with some type of mental illness or hidden disability that keeps them from learning like "normal people".

You can't you see dyslexia, or a reading/math deficit, ADHD , ODD, speech and language issues, sensory processing, depression, PTSD, anxiety or the many other hidden disabilities and mental illnesses.

You also can't see the wind, but you can certainly see the effects of each one of these.

Like Joseph in the picture above, you can't see his learning disabiltiy by looking at him. You'd never know about his speech deficit, his social anxiety, or his possible dyslexia! But his teachers sure saw the effects of it and his grades reflected it as well!

Your donation goes directly toward building an appropiate education for students who have learning disabilities. Because of you, students who are labled as behavior problems or lazy, can get proper evaluations to identify learning issues.

Then an appropriate plan can be made with the proper accommodations so they can become sucessful students. Other students will get assistive technology to help them read, write, and comprehend!

You can end the cycle of frustration, under achievement, and lowered self-esteem by supporting a child to gain an appropriate education allowing them to become confident, self-determined, and successful.
